Just look at that sunset on the page background here!! That's at the bottom of our road, about sixty seconds walk away. Ever since the 1860's when Brighton started to become popular with day trippers from London, Brighton Seafront has been the central part of what makes Brighton a great city and we're so close we can smell the ocean.
We are on a quiet side street in Brighton just one block up from the beach. A five minute walk will take you to the shopping centre and it's 10- 15 minutes to the train and coach stations and all of the main Brighton attractions
Just around the corner from us is Western Road with it's bustling shops, supermarkets, restaurants, cafes and all night eateries.
If you are heading to the beach, the promenade stretches for miles in both directions and is abound with restaurants, nightclubs and bars, cafes, shops and of course both the West Pier and Brighton Pier. In the summer months that's where you'll often find the Seadragon staff after work with our barbecues!
Our story so far
After notching up over two decades of travelling between us we decided it was finally time to put down a few roots in our home town. Like so many travellers we had always dreamed of running our own hostel having stayed in so many all over the world.
So back in 2006 we found a building and after a lot of hard work we finally opened the doors to our first customer, Zoe, in June 2007.
Since then thousands of people have come and stayed, we have met some amazing, brilliant, crazy, strange, fascinating and inspiring characters. Hopefully all of them have enjoyed the hostel we have built and are still improving. We hope people enjoy the warm friendly welcome, being able to kick back, cook some food, make some friends and of course, have a great night sleep.
